Kaipa
Hi, I have recorded a solo and would like to know if I can add wah on it i.e play the track back and I physically use my wah over it.... is this possible and if so how do I make it happen? Cheers
Cobalt
I think with the right audio interface this can work. 1. On your guitar track set the output to "output 1" (any output will do). Make sure it's not muted. 2. Run that output from your interface to your wah pedal, then back into an input (input 1 for example). 3. In Logic make a new track set to input 1. 4. Record while performing your wah, and you're done! That's how I imagine it should work... Someone with more experience with interfaces might be able to give a better answer. tristancalvaire
Alternatively, an interface with an insert effect slot will do this for you with less latency and less cables. Let us know what interface you have and the name of your pedal,
David Nahmani
Your wah pedal was designed to plug a guitar in, not a line output in. So if you connect an output from your interface into the wah you'll get an impedance mismatch, resulting in frequency spectrum distortion. To avoid that you'll need to use a re-amping device such as http://www.radialeng.com/r2011/reamping-products.php
DanRad
I find that Auto-Wa is really great. I usually put it before the amp,.. but you could try running the track through it and automate the wah.. I actually have a pedal programmed to work the wah. I have to record in "latch" mode for automation, but it's very cool..
