Nirvana
Hey on logic pro 8 Mac Leopard, trying to snap the bar lengths to reflect audio and midi info that is out of time, can this be done. Have been through both the manual and online forums here.
David Nahmani
Hi Nirvana and welcome to Logic Pro Help. Why is the audio and MIDI data out of time, and out of time with what: with Logic's metronome/grid? If you turn the click off, is your music in time or are some instruments out of time with others? Nirvana
yeah set it up and recorded music and added midi, it is in time with itself, however the bars on the top of the arrange window aren't lined up with the bars. This is because we don't like using the metronome beat. i would like to adjust the bar ruler to match the recording we've done, which in the project now is a mixture of midi and audio, can it be done? Atlas007
Depending how far your recordings are from the Logic reference time grid (Arrange bar ruler at the top), using quantize (either at region or note levels) judiciously could do the trick. Also, some Flex treatment (for your audio tracks) will most probably be required.

From what I understand, that's the opposite of what the OP wants. The previous link to beat mapping suggested by jtees is what's needed here.
