Lost EXS24 instruments

Hello, earlier today i removed some native instrument AU components from my plug-ins folder in order to conduct a reinstallation. Since then, on opening Logic (latest version) it is unable to find a couple of my own sampler instruments, these are collections of some of my favourite one shot samples. I checked the sample directory of the instruments in question (edit window in EXS24) and all the samples are still present and can be shown in the finder, but I cannot play them. Any suggestions as to how I can solve this issue?

Do you get an alert? Does it offer you an option to help ogic locate the samples? If yes, have you tried it? If no, what is the exact wording of the alert?

Is the exs file still there, and have you refreshed the menu (sorry if you've already checked these things!)?
