Can I import Pro tools MIDI into logic? [SOLVED]

I am doing a vocal session with a University of Tennessee Nashville music student this next week while she is home on holiday. She needs me to record vocals for her midi class project. It is a protools project.

I realize the answer is on this board somewhere...I seem to onl;y get 575 page responses to my searches...

If it's MIDI, you can export the MIDI tracks as MIDI files, then import them into logic.

You'll have to re-assign the instruments, but as long as you get something close (Piano for Piano, etc) it should be adequate to record with. It really depends WHERE these MIDI instruments are, if you can trigger them from your logic setup, then you can just assign it in Logic to that instrument.

Not to be silly, she would need to export them from pro tools. Correct?

yup, for safest export, just export each instrument as it's own file. And label which instrument that file is, the MIDI (.mid file) won't give you that info.
