pinkgelati
Hi, I have a Korg PS60 and I want to use the built-in sounds in my recording. I want to have multiple tracks, each with a different sound from the Korg. To keep the tracks accurate, I need to use the quantize function too. Right now it is connected via USB to my Macbook Pro. When I set up a track and choose, 'audio', I can record the sounds from the keyboard, but I can't quantize. When I choose, 'software instument', I can't use the keyboards built-in sounds, just the Logic Instruments. When I choose, 'midi', it works fine for one track, but when I go to change sounds for another track, all of the tracks change to the new sound. Does anyone know how to record with the original keyboard sounds, but still be able to quantize? Thanks!
David Nahmani
When I choose, 'midi', it works fine for one track, but when I go to change sounds for another track, all of the tracks change to the new sound. You need to create external MIDI tracks. After you create one, choose a destination in the Library: choose your synth, then choose MIDI channel 1. Then create a new external MIDI track, and in the Library, choose the same synth but the next MIDI Channel. Now you should be able to select different patches for each track.
