help with using stems

hi im entered a remix contest for a electronic dance music forum and they supplied some stems from the original producer and when i put them into logic i get no sound from them i open up an audio file and drag and drop them from the file and no sound plays?

Most likely they're 32bit files. Convert them to 24bit and you should be fine. Logic only deals with 32bit files when freezing tracks.

this might be kind of a noob question but how do i got about converting them thanks a lot

If you save the project before you actually import the files, they'll be converted automatically for you. Just make sure you check the "Include Assets" box at the bottom of the Save dialog, and also the "Copy external audio files to project folder" box under "Advanced Options" (also in the Save dialog). This will put the converted files inside the audio files folder within the project folder-
