tristancalvaire
Hello, all! So let's say you made a fantastic growly FM bass, but it sounds weak in the higher octaves- which totally ruins your plan to do some octave jumping. Have no fear! Simply record the bass in the octave it sounds best, create a new region with it, and turn on flex. Make sure it's set to speed though! Then, simply flex it to be 1/2 speed, 1/4 speed, etc. It can create some really interesting timbres- for me personally, it created a sound best described as a whiny floppy drive screech (which was what I was going for XD) Check the Music Showcase for a song I'm working on that does that in the last few measures.
