livetony Posted November 30, 2012 Share Posted November 30, 2012 Hi. Right now I'm mixing a rock song. I have not a lot of experience in rock, but more in electronica and party-music. That's why I need your help. I now want to mix the lead-vocal to sound like this (link): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PPYXCDy2aU I think that song has some distortion and a lot of compression, am I right? But what plug-ins do they use on that track and how much of everything to make the vocals fit into the song? Any tips/tricks? I want to make the same type where the vocals sound clean, but still a little old, trashy and distorted like in that track. Thank you so much Antonio D.
