Electro_Jason
Hey. I've been trying to get this snare clap sound for ages now but I can't seem to fully master it. I would be grateful for any help that could be offered. Yeah, the snare comes in at 0:15 so again, I would greatly appreciate any help Thanks. Simon Morrison
The "snare" is a white noise generator attenuated by a noise gate. The kick is side-chained to the noise gate, or the gate is automated. The "snare" is also running through a filter in various places. Electro_Jason
Hey Simon. Would you mind going into a bit more detail of what you mean by putting on a noise gate? I can do it but it doesn't sound good at all.
Simon Morrison
Here is a tutorial for creating a triggered noise gate effect: http://audio.tutsplus.com/tutorials/production/create-a-triggered-noise-gate-effect-in-logic To generate the white noise use either ES2 or Test Oscillator.
