one controller, controlling different plugins at once

Ok here is my question and i've been googling for hours without being able to pinpoint it:

I have a uc16 with 16 knobs.

What i want is this:

Now i can assign my knobs to a plugin, and i can only control that plugin when the track is selected.

What i want is to be able to control multiple plugins on different channels at once, with the assigned knobs.

So for instance knob 1 and 2 are the delay and filter cutoff for channel 3 and knob 3 is assigned to wave form and panning of channel 4. I want to be able to control both channels including plugins with all the assigned knobs without having to select the channel.

---------------

to make myself more clear, what i DON"T need is:

Control multiple channels with one controller button.

Assign different midichannels like a multitimbral synth thing

I hope someone can help me, this controller business is always a little tricky.

I would be a very happy man if i can get this to work

thanks in advance

In the Controller Assignments window, change each assignment's "Channel Strip" parameter from "Selected Track" to the appropriate type of channel strip and its corresponding number:

One step closer but no luck yet.

Once i change the channelstrip number, there are no received midi messages from the controller.

Also when i change the setting from "selected track" to "software instrument" there is no midi input from the controller.

What can this be?

thanks till so far

I've got all the parameter the same as in your photo.

Unfortunately the controllers stop working as soon as i change "CLASS" to "Software Instrument' or "audio".

- Altering the channel strip numbers don't do anything

- Enabling recording mode doesn't help.

Which one?

The "Class" parameter you don't touch. That one stays as "Channel Strip".

It should. If you set it to the correct channel strip number (and type), the parameters should look like my second picture.

Here's a little video:

- Enabling recording mode doesn't help.

Not sure why this would help?
