Recording Macro Controls on ES2

Soul Truth

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I recently learned how to assign the ES2 macro controls to my midi, but I still haven't figured out how to make permanent changes to a track using the knobs.

So far I have tried playing the track, pressing record, and moving the knobs, but once I play it back it does not save the movements I have made with my knobs.

Does anyone know how to save these changes that I am making with my knobs?

Use Track Automation: set the automation mode to latch and move the knobs, the movements of the corresponding parameters will be recorded onto the track's automation lane. Keep in mind that for macro controls, upon playback, the parameters will move, but not the macro knob itself. For example if you record automation for the "Wave" knob, upon playback the waveform of each oscillator will move accordingly, but not the Wave macro knob.
