Jordi Torres
Hello Ecto and welcome to Logic Pro Help. Please take a minute to read our forum rules and add your Logic version and system info to your signature: Forum Rules - please READ THIS before posting (#5) Sylenth1 is an instrument, not an insert effect, so you need to load it from the instrument slot of a software instrument channel strip (right below where it says "I/O"): http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicexpress/usermanual/Art/S15/S1512_LE_INS_ChaStripsCallouts.png J. Jordi Torres
Sylenth is a 32bit instrument. Please start Logic in 32bit mode first if you havent already Ecto said it appears in the AU manager so it must already be available regardless of the mode Logic's running (64bit vs 32bit). J. Jordi Torres
Have you looked under the "AU Instruments" submenu (or "AU Instruments (32-bit)" if running Logic in 64bit mode)? It should be at the lower part of the pop-up menu you get when clicking the instrument slot. J.
Ecto
Sylenth is a 32bit instrument. Please start Logic in 32bit mode first if you havent already I`ve tryed that also, I can only see it in the AU manager in 32bit mode?
Jordi Torres
And once again, please take a minute to read our forum rules and add your Logic version and system info to your signature: Forum Rules - please READ THIS before posting (#5) Thanks. Jordi Torres
Sylenth is a 32bit instrument. Please start Logic in 32bit mode first if you havent already I`ve tryed that also, I can only see it in the AU manager in 32bit mode? That's normal. 32bit plug-ins do not appear in the Audio Units manager when running Logic in 64bit mode...but they do appear in the "AU Instruments (32-bit)" submenu in the instrument slot (provided the plug-in has been successfully validated in 32bit mode). Ecto
I can`t find it in the instruments, i use 32bit, and the only place i can find it is in the AU mangament under preferences. Were do i find "AU Instruments " and the sub menu btw? Im sorry i suck at english, i´m from Denmark
n6smith
Are you sure you are running Logic in 32bit mode? Click on About Logic Pro in the menu bar.. and look next to version number to double check... I ask because by default 9.1.8 runs in 64bit mode unless you manually change it yourself... If you are running in 32bit mode and Sylenth does not show up under the Software Instrument button... then something is wrong... It should be at the bottom of the list... and you won't have a sub menu because you are running Logic in 32bit mode. (That only appears when you are running Logic in 64bit mode) Make sure you are left clicking and holding on the Software Instrument button and not the Insert buttton... The Software instrument Button is directly below where it says i/o (Highlighted by the Red Box in this screenshot)

fisherking
and even tho i've been out all day and didn't help at all...am still saying 'you're welcome', since i told ecto to come to this forum for help...instead of at kvraudio, more useful for 'this plugin is better than that plugin' arguments... 8)
