Can a continuous foot pedal act as a toggle switch? [SOLVED]

I have a volume pedal style controller which sends out CCs. I need to get this foot pedal to do two things in Mainstage. As a continuous controller I need it to change the filter frequency in a synth. This is no problem. But I also need that when the pedal is pressed all the way down it switches on another parameter in the synth (in this case switching on an effect) . Switching on a parameter is normally something I do with a toggle or momentary foot switch. Is it possible to do this with a continuous controller?

Thanks if anyone knows

Thanks for both replies. I had tried something like the screen shot (Thanks CCTMusic) but was getting switching happening half way through the pedal throw, now thank to mmm42, I can see why that is. I guess what I would need to do is to configure the pedal so that full throw sends a CC of 64 not 127 and then set the synth filter so that 64 is full. Otherwise I'm stuck with the effect switching on when the filter is only half up instead of fully up. If this makes sense... Unless there's a way to make the effect switch on at cc 127 instead of 64. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks.

Hi

Whilst mmm42 is technically correct in saying that a MIDI 'Switch:" controller switches values at 64, if you want a pedal to act as a switch only when fully depressed, the graph shown will work fine.

All you need to do is scale the 'on/off' output values for the particular parameter range you wish to switch.
