djmarksmith
Firstly a big hello to everyone,im a newbie to logic and the forum and really need some help I have spent all day trying to get a sound output (not using midi) from logic and i just cant get one. I have read the manual, checked the settings etc etc. The weird thing is that if i do it through garage band it works perfectly. I can get the software to pick up the input and i can see the equalizer bars flying up when i hit a drum pad and as the midi cable is also plugged into my interface i can also see the bar along the bottom picking up the note value for each drum pad i hit but it will not output sound at all and the output EQ is doing nothing what can i check, i have checked the preferences audio to the best of my ability, the track settings audio I can play out through the soundcard using itunes or any player and as said before it works perfectly with garage band thanks in advance

Jordi Torres
Hi thanks, i had posted the question twice but i hadn't realised that the posts must be authorised by a moderator and thought the first post had gone astray It's OK, thanks for updating your signature! I have selected the device in the preferences, 1/2 on my interface in output and 3/4 is input Just to be clear, I was talking about the Input and Output device preferences in Audio > Devices > Core Audio...not Audio > I/O Assignments. djmarksmith
Yes in preferences>audio it does state input and output as Komplete Audio, but in that section it does not allow me to map those in and outs to channels

Jordi Torres
You're welcome! Yes in preferences>audio it does state input and output as Komplete Audio, but in that section it does not allow me to map those in and outs to channels You can set specific ins and outs by clicking on a channel strip's input and output slots.
