DarkArchitech
Hi sorry if this has been answered or is posted in the wrong forum, im fairly new to how forums work, etc. I watched a tutorial on how to clean and layer kick drums, but it was for Ableton. I was wondering if someone could take a look at the video, and see if the same techniques can be used in logic pro. I know how to clean the kick drum with automation and the auto filter etc. But i cant seem to figure out how to freeze the and flatten the audio clip, then covert to midi. so it can be used in a sampler such as Ultra Beat or ESX. (Link is posted below) any help or link to another tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Link:
strikingtwice
Search the manual for Converting Regions to a New Sampler track. That will answer your second question, logic will actulaly do the cut up and sampling for you. As for the first thing, I'm not going to check out the video, but the way that you "freeze" an audio file with processing from fx is the "Bounce in Place" feature, which can be found upper right corner or right click. Good luck!

Good luck! yea been trying this "bounce in place" and export audio file to .wav all mourning, it doesn't record any of the automation i have for cleaning the sample. the end result after "bouncing in place" is the exact same as the original sample

Also tried this and i get the same result as bouncing in place, the automation doesnt get recorded, therefore i end up with the exact same sound as the original sample.
