No sound at all in LOGIC [SOLVED]

Hi,

 

i cant hear the tracks anymore. I can see the waveforms in the regions but i cant see anything at the level meter (no peaks) in the corresponding tracks and also in the stereo track.

What happened? Its not only in 1 project, its in all of my projects!

Is Core Audio enabled in Logic's Audio preferences? (Preferences > Audio > Devices > Core Audio).

 

What device are you using for sound output? Please add that information to your signature as well.

Core Audio is enabled. i am using the Apogee Duet2.

The thing is that everything worked just fine until this morning. I didnt change something in Logic since then.

Do you get any sound if you change the output device to "Built-in Output"?

i did change it to Built in Output, suddenly i saw the level meter moving but didnt hear anything. After that i changed the output device back to DUET USB and now evrything works fine. Wierd! Jordito, can you explain what happened? Bur first, THANK YOU very much and you were so fast with your answer, great.

Sounds like Core Audio weirdness...I can't say exactly why this happens, but it definitely can happen (occasionally). Messing with the audio preferences can fix it as you have witnessed (you could have also disabled Core Audio > Apply Changes > Re-enable Core Audio).
