dugald
I'm running Logic 9 on a Mac Book Pro, OS 10.6.8, interface is a MOTU 828 mk2. Received a 2nd 828 and connected to the 1st unit via firewire. So far cant seem to be able to use both at the same time. Cant assign outputs from tracks in Logic to analog outputs on more than one unit. Can I use 2 core audio devices in Logic?
David Nahmani
Can I use 2 core audio devices in Logic? Only if you first aggregate them using the Audio MIDI Setup: How to combine multiple audio interfaces by creating an aggregate device on Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard
dugald
Thanks David, that worked beautifully, however now I'm getting some sync problems. How do I sync them correctly? I tried connecting them via SMPTE using a TRS cable but lost audio playback. Any suggestions?
David Nahmani
Have you considered connecting the two 828 via ADAT, which syncs through wordclock - using the second 828 as a A/D and D/A converter?
