jonnik
Hey Does anyone know a plugin for Mac (Logic Pro) similar to granulizer from FL? I really like what this plugin does in this demonstration: Any ideas? P.S. I am not looking for bitcrusher effect.
xpander
I haven't tried this yet myself but it's a new 'granulizer' plugin called SaltyGrain. Check it out here: https://www.samplesumo.com/product/saltygrain Ultimately, it comes down to experimenting to get the sound you're after. And that process in and of it's self can be very rewarding. - xpander
xpander
Another fairly new option is MMultiBandGranular from MeldaProduction - http://www.meldaproduction.com/plugins/product.php?id=MMultiBandGranular I would suggest trying out the demos of either plugin to find out if they are the kind of effects you are looking for. Good luck!! - xpander

tristancalvaire
A similar feel to granular synthesis would be to take a sound, flex it in Logic with one of the algorithms (monophonic works fairly well), then create a new sampler track from it. By ear find the fundamental pitch, then from there spread it across the keyboard. There's also Native Instruments' Skanner, a very weird sampler/granular wavetable synth– http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/producer/powered-by-reaktor/skanner-xt/ The full version is $59, but there used to be a free light version that's probably mirrored for download somewhere on the internet. Jordi Torres
There's also Native Instruments' Skanner, a very weird sampler/granular wavetable synth– The synthesis technique used by Skanner XT is actually scanned synthesis, not granular. Here's another recommendation for granular stuff: Granite J.

jonnik
To me Saltygrain and granulizer sound best. However in the tut I posted in FL, the guy first processes one sample in Granulizer and then simply drags and drops another sample into the same Granulizer, thus the two samples are processed with the same settings at the same time on one instance of granulized. Is this somehow possible on the mentioned grans?
