Invalid serial number after formatting OS

I've had Logic Pro 8 on my Macbook Pro for a long time now, and never upgraded it because I'm on a student budget. I got it as a gift, so I have the whole Logic Studio Box, with all the install discs and heavy manuals.

After four years, my Macbook was getting pretty slow and cluttered, so I reformatted the OS. But when I tried to re-install Logic, I get an 'invalid serial number' error!

Before you say "Well, DevPug, that is because you didn't un-register Logic before formatting your OS so now you can't re-register," yes. I know. I did make that mistake. But, it is because I asked around before formatting my beloved laptop, and I was told that as long as I completely deleted everything during the formatting, I wouldn't have any problems. Obviously, my advice was incorrect, and I forgive whoever it was who gave me that advice, but what should I do now?

Please help me!

Logic Pro 8

Mac OS X 10.5.8 (when I reformatted, I also upgraded, I used to run Logic on OS X 10.5.6)

Apologies if this question has been asked before, I'm new to the forum and haven't found an exact answer yet. (I see plenty of "I upgraded Logic and now the serial number doesn't work," but in my case it's the opposite, I didn't upgrade and now it doesn't work.)
