SteveMM
Hello, I am attempting to bounce a midi drum kit to an audio track with limited success. The only issue being that when I listen back and compare levels (audio and midi), the levels in my new audio are slightly less and seem to have some sort of limiter/compression applied to them. Has anyone encountered this issue? Thank you in advance.
Jordi Torres
Set Normalization to "off" in the bounce in place dialog. J.
SteveMM
Thanks for the quick response. I have turned the normalize to off. This is very bizarre, I have gone back to older sessions and found the same thing is occurring. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again. Jordi Torres
And you re-did the bounce in place after turning normalization off...and it still sounds different? That doesn't make sense. J.
David Nahmani
There's also "Include Volume/Pan automation" which will take into account the position of the volume fader on the channel strip. Also, how are you comparing the levels of the two regions? Are you dragging back the new bounced region to Logic? If that's the case, do you have any plug-ins on the Stereo out channel strip? Is its volume fader set to zero? Is your master fader volume set to zero as well?
