Thomas91
Is there any way to tell Logic to always load MIDI program 0 or 1 if I add a new MIDI track & no icons!? & is there a key command to go through the different MIDI programs? If I add 16 MIDI tracks I always have programs loaded...why? & why these programs? Thanks!
David Nahmani
When creating new external MIDI tracks from the Arrange area Logic creates a GM MIDI multi-instrument in the environment. Those have programs pre-selected for the various MIDI channels. If you want, you can set those programs to 0 and save that project as a template. That way when you create external MIDI tracks they will all have their program set to 0. Another way would be to create as many instruments (New > Instrument) as you need in the environment, drag and drop them to the Arrange area and in the pop-up alert, choose to create new tracks. All of those will be set to program = 0 by default. All tracks have icons by default, but here again you could set them to "No icon" and save your project as a template.
