dunbur
I've been having an ongoing problem with using external synths with Logic. WHile flicking through presets on my external synth, the Logic channel strip setting in which I have installed EXTERNAL INSTRUMENT keeps defaulting to a saved channel strip setting which has '000' in the title of the preset..Guessing it's defaulting to that one because it's numerically first in the list of presets. This is always instigated by flicking through the presets on the external synth I'm using. Today that happens to be my Mopho X4 but it happens with other synths also. As you can imagine it's infuriating when I keep having to change the preset back to my default Mopho X4 channel strip setting while in the middle of writing a track. Also to note: the X4 passes Midi via USB to Logic Any ideas as to how I stop this happening? THanks!
Jordi Torres
keeps defaulting to a saved channel strip setting which has '000' in the title of the preset. Sounds like a channel strip performance: Working with Channel Strip Configurations Any ideas as to how I stop this happening? Delete the channel strip performance if you don't need it. They are recalled when receiving Program changes in MIDI channel 1. Probably your Mopho X4 is sending these when you flick through its presets. J. Eriksimon
Or, in case you don't use program changes in Logic at all, you can filter them out at Project Settings>MIDI>Input Filter.
