Electro_Jason
So I got a nice new keyboard, the one stated above but I can't connect it properly. I've used a midi to usb cable and logic recognizes it and I can happily play notes. But I don't think it's connected properly. The reason being is that I can't properly use the pitchbend and modulation wheel properly. (It just makes a weird sound) And the volume doesn't work properly on it. On the page where you can buy iy from it says you need a native usb cable? Is this what I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated
David Nahmani
Well a MIDI to USB cable should work, so I'm not sure what your problem is, but considering there's a USB port on the keyboard I would just use one of those USB cables (doesn't have to be M-Audio branded, just go to your closest electronic store):
Electro_Jason
Yes, it does work with the midi cable. The thing that doesn't work is the pitch and mod wheel as well as volume and octaves. Every time I press any of these buttons it just make this really weird sound and the only way I can stop it is by pressing play and stopping. Do you think this is the cable or logic? David Nahmani
It's not Logic, so I would tend to believe it's the cable. You don't have a USB cable like the one I displayed? There should have been one in the box with your keyboard.
