Bouncer
Hello guys Just want to make sure that when I check Normalize during Bounce, it acts as raised volume to the ceiling without any artifacts or loss of quality... Anyone can confirm? thanks
David Nahmani
Only if your mix peaks below 0 dBFS. If your mix already peaks at 0 dBFS it's already normalized and nothing will happen. If your mix peaks above 0 dBFS then the volume will be lowered and not raised. IMO you should never need to normalize while bouncing. Normalizing while bouncing means you're not watching your levels while mixing, and it means you don't really know what your mix will sound like until it's bounced. NOT Normalizing while bouncing means you're responsible for watching your levels as you mix, and it also means that what you hear while you're mixing is exactly what you'll get in your bounced file.
