Apogee One ?? Still having M Box 2 Prob

Hello,

 

Hope everyone is good. My M Box 2 is sucking. I downloaded the Standalone Driver and still having issues. I see they have other drivers but they are for panther and jaguar. I got mtn lion. Sometimes the play back is good and then I get a lot of pops and cracks.

 

Anyways I wanted to know if anyone is using the Apogee One? I was curious if it can record two instruments at the same time?? Like the M Box2? I see it comes with the XLR and 1/4 in plugs but what if you need to mic two instruments with 2 XLR's? Do they have extra plugs like a 4 way 2 XLR's and 2 1/4 in??

 

Let me know. and if anyone is having success with their M Box 2 please let me know where you got the driver from. I saw one on Download.net but not sure if thats a safe website.

The One allows to record one mic at the same time as one instrument. The mic can either be the built-in mic, or an external mic you hook up to it.

No, for two mics you need two mic preamps and the One only has one mic preamp. So you could purchase an external mic preamp... but it would be much cheaper and easier to purchase an audio interface with two built-in mic preamps if you need them.

Honestly the Digidesign/AVID core audio drivers have been infamous for being really poor for the past... 12 years or so? I wouldn't even consider working with any of their interfaces hooked to anything other than Pro Tools.
