How do I change a virtual instrument? I changed a synth to cymbals, and the icon changed accordingly, but it's still making the synth sound - not cymbal. I imported this project from GB. To change the instrument, you can click on the instrument slot on the software instrument channel strip: http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicexpress/usermanual/Art/S15/S1512_LE_INS_ChaStripsCallouts.png ...or pick a channel strip setting in Logic's Library pane. Hi, I did the same thing...transitioned from Garageband to Logic Pro. The websites Groove3 and MacProVideo offer excellent tutorials. There is a membership fee though.
