logic 9 m audio pedal help

Hey there...can someone help me figure out how to get my pedal to hold the length of a note? I was told all I need to do is plug it in, but i can't seem to figure out it works. All I need is for it to work like a pedal on the piano. Thanks!

If it's a sustain pedal, then all you need to do is plug it in.

 

What pedal?

What MIDI keyboard are you using?

This is true. I have tried it and it doesn't seem to read it.

Look at the MIDI in display in your transport area. Does it display anything at all when you press/depress the pedal? If not, then you want to look into your keystation regarding how to set up the sustain pedal so it sends the standard sustain events.
