Hey friends!

This is my first release and I have had some interesting reactions to the guitar sounds and playing.

I would like to hear from players, producers and any one with an above average ear thats not afraid to critique.

Thanks fellow Logicestas!

Hey Ron

I just linked your Youtube to another Forum where we have been having an interesting debate on the Monsanto question.

Hope it ups your hits

What I really like about this production is the passion. You have managed to get a really big sounding (in a Phil Spector way) piece, while keeping it a little dark, so befitting the theme.

Good on you.

It's been a while since I've been able to say "Protest Song"

Hi Guys! Sorry to post and disappear. I have to blame my inflamed sciatic nerve. Thank you Camillo and David .The Luddite strikes again! I think I got the url posting thing. Basils, I will have a a look in the next bit. Thankyou!

The reason for my post is because that recording (that I had to release before it was it was ready, due to the World Wide March in May 25/2013) was recorded with a stock, 149.00$ Squire Tele through a Presonus Firebox, into Logic Express and the old ('hated by many") logic effects only!!

So Although I love high end gear. Ya don't really NEED all the cool expensive stuff!

Any one wanna take up the argument that Logic Amp Sims Suck? And ya need to mike or re-amp or "your guitar sounds like its a $149.00 Guitar! Argument?

Just look at Willie Nelson's guitar.

It sounds great to me when he plays it.

BTW. I like your song. Especially the message. And the video too.

Thank you for helping my case. I'd love to play willies guitar! RF

It's also the same with Logics instruments and plugs. Some folks can get pretty obsessed searching for the magic bullet. Buying lots of 3rd party stuff. You can do so much with the stock instruments and plug-ins in Logic.

You don't have to be wealthy to be rich. Just depends on what you do with what you've got.

Blue Monkey, you are preaching to the choir. Some creative filter and envelope work can take a stock sound into a totally new sound realm, without adding GBs of 3rd party sounds. Although some 3rd party stuff is truly awesome!

There was also a famous classical or jazz/classical player, it may have been Charlie Byrd or Sibicus but they had a cheapo Sears Classical guitar that he loved that he called a "reverse Lemon"!
