dpickell
Is there a way to do that? example, using something other than a mouse to advance through the patch menus?
David Nahmani
Not with the computer keyboard, no. However, do you have a control surface? A MIDI keyboard?

David Nahmani
Does it have knobs or faders that send MIDI? If yes you could assign them to parameters in the ES2: Quick Guide to using a MIDI controller with Logic
dpickell
Thanks. Yes it does, minimal but I'll see what I can do. Dave
David Nahmani
If you tell us what keyboard, we may be able to help further. If it has buttons, you can create modes. For example, one button and two knobs? In mode 1, the buttons control the filter and cutoff. Press the button to go to mode 2 and they control the Intensity and speed of the pulse width and the sine sub-osc level. Press it again... etc etc... dpickell
It's an acorn master key....the knob values are alter able .. But I tend to leave them .. its cumbersome to mod them, ...and instead conform each V. instruments response to the masterkeys factory control numbers. , I.e. knob 1 = filter or brightness. What I'd really like is to use the Mac keyboard for, say, arrow ing down thru a list of patches, and I understad that isn't implemented at this time. Hi This is implemented with Logic's Library (using the Arrow keys). If you have Logic 'Settings' or AU presets for your plugins, this will work fine. The internal Logic Instruments and Effects are already setup, but you may need to go get some 'Settings' files or save your own for 3rd party plugs Here would be a good place to start: viewforum.php?f=8 CCT
dpickell
I'll try it. Thanks. Dave

Oh I'm sorry David I completely misunderstood your original request. I thought you meant you wanted to be able to access the different parameters of the ES2. For what you want, CCT's solution should work great. There are also key commands for next/previous plug-in setting, or channel strip setting, etc..
