Adding chords crashes Logic 9 ?

I have a separate track for chords set up in styles as lead sheet. (one clef slashes) Choose the track and all regions. The song is 33 measures long. The cycle is set from measures 1 to 13 turned on. (also tried with it turned off). Same result.

In the score editor I set up in the inspector (instruments) to "chords" so I only have the lead sheet staff showing.

I drag in "chords" type them in above the staff. tab thru slashes(4/4 time) 1,2,3,4 next measure. all is good until I hit the next section (after the cycle). Then the spinning ball and crash. Happens every-time. What could be causing this?

I hope this is a clear question. The only way I can make it not happen is if I set the cycle on for the entire length of the song. That may be the only solution. At least that I could find.

This is odd behavior to which I haven't a clue as to what causes it.... At this time I typically trouble-shoot by closing and re-opening Logic. If that doesn't work, reboot computer. Lastly, import everything into a new project, as it well could be file corruption. (And actually, I might do this first.)

If this doesn't work, I'd look at rebuilding preferences.
