TheBeef43
I have been having this problem lately, where while mixing, when more and more tracks start to come in, the volume of the tracks already playing drop in volume, as to compensate for the new sound. Im not sure why it started doing this, but is there a way to turn this off?
David Nahmani
Sounds like you have a compressor on your Stereo Out? If yes, bypass it or remove it.
TheBeef43
The only plug ins I had on my output was level monitoring, which I bypassed incase that was it. Nothing changed when I did that. It does seem like a compressor though. Its really noticeable when the drum track comes in, and the guitar and vocals drop way too low, like Logic knows that it needs to be quieter to avoid clipping. If I raise the volume of say, the snare track, rather than the snare becoming way too loud, everything else drops, while the snare doesnt change in volume much. David Nahmani
What level are you peaking at on your Stereo Out channel strip?
TheBeef43
Generally from -5 to -3 depending. The problem is just when I increase the volume of a track, rather than getting louder, everything else gets quieter. Its like it is simulating the effect of me turning up a specific track, and then turning down my speakers.
David Nahmani
Any way you could share the project file along with the audio files so we could test it?
