XMaramena
I thought I saw an option somewhere to set my normalise peak level, can't find it now though. And would this affect the normalise option in the bounce? Ideally I'd want to be able to check this box whenever I'm bouncing down a mix and normalise to -6. Bouncing out, then reimporting, then gain changing, then bouncing again is just such a hassle or something that should be so simple. EDIT - I found the normalise level setting in the sample editor settings. But does this setting also affect the bounce normalise?
Eriksimon
No, you cannot bounce to a level different than 0 dBfs. You can normalise individual audio files to any peak level in the sample editor, but there's no such function for bouncing. So the best you could do is: bounce, import the bounce and then normalise it to -6 dBfs in the sample editor and export or again bounce that. In general, it is recommended to not use normalisation when bouncing.
David Nahmani
Set the Stereo Output fader so the highest peak in your mix is at -6 dBFS and bounce with Normalize set to Off.
shivermetimbers
Why are you going to all this trouble to get a peak of -6dB?
XMaramena
Uni requirements for some projects - if the peak is -6.1 or -5.9 you can fail the unit.
CCTMusic
Hi As above but maybe with a 'safety' limiter set to -6? CCT
