LJRG
Hi, I have an m-audio fast track ultra. I was fiddling with the software mixer when I noticed a width knob on the master output. I'm wondering if it should be fully active or not? It wasn't on the older version of this software before I got Mountain Lion and there's no documentation I can find saying what it does. It's confusing, I'd love some help. Thanks
LJRG
Ah, I meant to say I can't find any documentation saying what the proper setting should be.
David Nahmani
You should ask M-Audio. Where is that setting by default? The default position of that knob is most likely a giveaway of where it should normally stay at. My best guess would be... all the way up - as it is on your picture. LJRG
Yes you're right, when all the way to the left it actually changes the output to mono. Handy for checking phase I guess. Though I wonder why not just a switch, why would one ever need to have the dial halfway...
David Nahmani
Yeah I'm not sure either. Maybe they just added it because they could.
