Alex A Casey
This track was mixed on Soundcraft DC 2000 32 in-line channel console, and with external reverbs, compressors, and EQ's I used Logic plugins and software instruments as well. External synths are Virus TI and Moog Slim Phatty [soundcloud] [/soundcloud] Track was mastered with a bundle of PowerCore and some Waves plugins. shivermetimbers
I don't hear any low end. Edit: I am hearing the low end now.
APSON
I wonder if more room could exist in 200-500hz? The synth at 1:03 seems like it has a lot of low-mids going on; maybe more than enough for the whole arrangement? I have no experience mixing or listening to this genre so perhaps this spectral balance is normal for club sound systems, etc. I'm only chiming in here because I like it. There is nothing wimpy about this mix. When that synth comes back at 3:50 it might be neat, though, if it was the dominator in the low-mid area rather than just being another contributor. For emotional purposes. Also, re: "don't hear any low end" maybe before you go boosting I would consider cutting some low-mid and seeing how your balance ends up. I wonder if what OTB afforded you here is a very nice, luscious high-end on your synths? Also probably a result of good mixing.
