logicproguy
If i could switch to pro tools I would, but the problem is i don't have the time to train on it and have to get these projects finished with that note, logic studio continues to perform like a monkey. i'm in the middle of recording and all of a sudden my audio stops, why does this happen is it typical. It's not a computer. I have my buffer size really low so the latency is reduced but it's still happening. I am running logic 9.17 i know it's older version but I can't risk the chances of upgrading and glitches happen to what we already are working on typical logic behavior. what do you guys think? Eriksimon
in the middle of recording and all of a sudden my audio stops, why does this happen. Well, I haven't seen your CPU nor your HD meters, I have no idea to what disk you were recording to nor how it is connected to your computer nor how much tracks you were recording to it nor at what bit depth and sample rate you were doing this, nor via which connection using which audiointerface connected to which port on your computer all this was unsuccessfully happening, so: I have no idea why it does happen. I (and others) might have some ideas, were you to provide all this information in your next reply... It's not a computer. If it is not a computer, it's a miracle that Logic runs. I have my buffer size really low so the latency is reduced but it's still happening. The smaller the buffer size, the sooner you'll run into overloads. So the "but" in the above sentence makes no sense.
Eric Cardenas
I have my buffer size really low so the latency is reduced but it's still happening. Seems like this can be your problem right there. Try setting the I/O buffer size to 256 samples.
rickenbacker360
And has been said before, try freezing your tracks. If not in place: 3 drives, one for system, one for projects (audio files) and one for resources, [samples, drum machine stuff, etc.]) Make sure the chain is fast (FW800 or better) and the drives are fast too. If you have lot's of dough, SSD is nice. Good luck.
logicproguy
Thanks, I tried also connecting node, 2 speed up my computer but after testing it out the is a lot of latency so it does not work out well.
Eriksimon
You could also try to find out and publish all the things I spoke about earlier, so that we can have any clue as to what might actually help you... Instead you now suddenly start about nodes and latency... no offence, but are you one of those autistic posters that ignores replies and requests and simply goes off on his own little grumpy egotrip? Jmando
Perhaps your computer is lactose intolerant and you should discontinue the 2 large glasses of milk?
