Artlowell
I configure them once. Then, when I go looking to move some markers around, the marker track is gone. I seem to have to keep configuring these. Same thing seems to keep happening with the transporter bar.
Atlas007
Have you tried resetting your Pref?
Eric Cardenas
Try unlocking your screen set.
redlogic
I also get that sometimes. I just tried in an Empty Project with one instrument and one audio track. Global Tracks included Marker, Signature and Tempo. Opened and closed Global Tracks a few times, selected the instrument and audio track a few times (back & forth between the two), opened the Mixer and selected all the channel strips one at a time. Back to the Arrange window, opened Global Tracks and and it showed only Tempo. No screensets. ? I've never had a problem with the Transport Bar. Artlowell
Guess this i going to remain one of those mysteries for all time. Oh well . . .
Eric Cardenas
Do you mean that you have to configure them every time you start a new project or is this regarding the same project file? Both Global tracks and Transport settings are project based not Logic preferences.
redlogic
With me, it just seems like buggy behavior. With various Projects (like the Empty Project from above), I configure the Global Tracks to my liking, work on the song some and when I need to open the Global Tracks to adjust the tempo for example...it's not there anymore. I have to reconfigure the Global Tracks again to include Tempo or Marker or whatever.

I have to reconfigure the Global Tracks again to include Tempo or Marker or whatever. That's been my experience. Even after saving my preferred configuration as the default. With the transport, it's the varispeed that doesn't seem to want to stay. (I only have one project going). I did trash the preferences once in order to get the default colors back, but that didn't coincide with this behavior.
Eric Cardenas
Are you guys opening a new arrange window or do you have several open? The global track is part of the window or in the case of the consolidated arrange, part of the area. You can have different global tracks on different windows/areas. Same thing for the transport. redlogic
With me, it's the case of the consolidated Arrange. Even in an Empty Project with the one consolidated Arrange window, the Global Tracks configuration just doesn't "stick". It'll work for a while and then I'll go there and what was just there is gone. nasrudin
Which screenset are you on when you 'configure' them? Does going back to that one when the global tracks are gone not return them?
redlogic
No Screensets involved for me. (So there is no "going back".) It happens in an Empty Project with the default consolidated Arrange window. (Screenset 1)

Doing such should tell Logic to include that (Global / Tempo track opened) setting in the current project.

It'll work fine for hours...or minutes...no rhyme or reason.
Eriksimon
Yep, I see this too sometimes. It is only a "minor bug" because no work is lost, but it is annoying nevertheless. Until not too long ago, Freeze buttons in track headers would pull the same disappearing trick, but it seems that that at least has been fixed...
