Artlowell
OK, a nuisance that has plagued me more often that you might think. I will spend a whole lot of time writing a lot of MIDI notes only to fined that, instead of using 64th notes, I should hav made it in 32nd notes (like in a harp glizzando, for example}. Is there an elegant way to correct this without having to Select all but the first note, move them all to the right, then select all but the second note, move those to the right, and so forth? I'll post this in the "tips" forum, too.
fastfourier
There are "Half Speed" and "Double Speed" transform presets (press Cmd-4 in the piano roll or score editor)..
David Nahmani
You could cut that section into its own MIDI region (for example select the section of the region in the Arrange area with the Marquee tool, then click that selection with the pointer tool). Then option-drag the lower-right corner of the region to resize it while compressing/expanding all the MIDI data inside accordingly. Or you could select only the desired MIDI notes inside a region for example in the Piano Roll, and choose Functions > Transform > Double Speed - then click Operate Only. Artlowell
Amazing! That is so cool! (Use the "functions" tree). Thank you. That's going to save a lot of aggravation.
