Hello I just installed Logic Pro 9, my main object is to master some sounds, but I got a USB Drum Kit called HXM HD-006. However, I couldn't set up the drum kit. When I select "MIDI INSTRUMENT" it shows a "USB DRUM" on the library. But I cannot get an output. Also I couldn't find any drivers on the internet. Anybody?

So basically this USB kit has its own sounds and you want to sequence them in logic? Is that it? Or are you simply trying to trigger Logic's (or third party) software instruments with it?

Thanks for updating your signature! :)

Haven't found any manual for this thing, I'm just going to assume it does MIDI over USB and you didn't have to install a driver for it...right? :?

Since you say you want to use it to trigger software instruments as well as its own sounds, better start with the first one:

Create a software instrument track and load an instrument. Play the drum kit. Does it trigger the instrument? If it doesn't, take a look at the MIDI Activity Display in Logic's transport bar...do you see any MIDI messages displayed there when you play the kit?

Yeah sure no problem. :)

Edit: Yes, it is a MIDI instrument but it's over USB.

Ehemmm, in the beginning, I was seeing (sorry about bad my bad English) the MIDI input messages, but doesn't get a sound. Now I can't even see my instrument on the library, when I select the "software instrument track". I can only see my USB drum when I select MIDI track. Both, I cannot get the MIDI input signals anymore. Or sound.

That could be for several reasons. If you were trying to play a software instrument, it's possible the software instrument was expecting to receive messages on a specific MIDI channel, and your drum kit was sending its messages on a MIDI channel that didn't match. To be sure however, more troubleshooting must be done and that requires you give us more info about the software instrument being used and the messages being sent from the drum kit (especially MIDI channel). What's your language by the way? I can deal with Spanish and French...or other languages with the help of google translate.

Now I can't even see my instrument on the library, when I select the "software instrument track".

That's normal. You won't see the drum kit's port on the Library when working on a software instrument track. But you will when using an external MIDI track.

Try changing the cable to another USB port and see if the messages start appearing again and then we can continue.
