Music Spirit
I have imported an hour long video into Logic and extracted the sound track to the Arrange page. When playing through to put in markers ( with the movie showing in a the thumbnail on the left hand side) I keep getting an error message repeated (as if the processor cannot handle this?) : Error while trying to sync audio and midi Sample rate 42403 recognised Check conflict between Logic pro and external device Any solutions? triplets
Have you tried disabling and re-enabling core audio in Logic's Audio Preferences? I'm assuming your Logic project is at 48k for video?
Music Spirit
Thanks triplets for your suggestions! Are you saying that all video projects should be 48k? This one started in my usual mode of 44k - I then tried your suggestions switching on and off core audio and changed the setting to 48k in Settings. The same error message still occurs every few seconds when playing. Should I try creating a fresh project starting with 48k? The video I am using is mp4 format
Jordi Torres
Should I try creating a fresh project starting with 48k? No, you should set the project's sample rate to match that of the movie. But yes, normally it would be 48kHz when working with video. The video I am using is mp4 format Logic doesn't like the mp4 container very much. It's not the first time I've seen people having problem with it. Nevertheless, You should know what sample rate, frame rate, etc the movie uses so that you can set it up accordingly in Logic. Open the movie in quicktime and then open quicktime's movie inspector (Command-i). Tell us what you see there or post a screen shot. J.
