mattrixx
Looks like this one's been omitted once again. Kinda surprised it's not an option. Was looking forward to addressing my Blackmagic card in Logic again.
mattyp
My guess is they want you to use a second (or third) monitor instead. A thunderbolt to HDMI adapter is about $30. It's too bad, its a feature I used all the time too.
RobbinsEgg
Hmmm, I haven't upgraded yet, but the Pro X manual says: Pg. 831 "Logic Pro X supports most synchronization protocols, allowing you to work with synchronized external video or film editing and playback hardware, or with video files stored on a locally attached or networked hard drive." mattyp
I think by "external video or film editing and playback hardware" they mean tape decks and hardware synchronizers. LTC, MTC SMPTE protocols and the like. For example, we USED to play timecode off of a analog Beta deck and logic would sync to that, and we would then score to the movie playing on out CRT monitor. Hitting Play on the deck would cause logic to jump to that point in timecode and stay in sync with the deck. But those were the dark ages!!
