Logic Pro X: Output Routing Bug [SOLVED]

Recommended Posts

Hey All,

Can anyone confirm this behavior:

• Create a new track (either audio or software instrument)

• In the new tracks dialogue box, set the output to a bus rather than a physical output.

• Browse the library and choose a patch to load in.

• The output of the selected track's channel strip is reset to no output!

Uh-oh, does that mean the Logic Pro X Explained video at Groove3 from my all-time favorite Groove3 author is going to be further delayed?? :)

(Sorry, didn't mean to go off-topic. Yes I can reproduce the bug as well).

Thanks Jordi.

Updated my signature. I am using the latest versions of OSX and Logic & Mainstage. Still have this issue.

I was able to get rid of it but only by setting up Audio MIDI Set up (and Logic / MainStage / Amplitube) to use the 1640i as input and the Mac Built-in Line Output as output to the external speaker connected to the Mac.

I tried the reverse, using a guitar USB audio interface for the input, then using 1640i as Output - feedback is there.

I am thinking there may be a Core Audio / Mackie firmware compatibility issue. I included the Driver version in my signature, however I can not identify the firmware revision of the desk. Otherwise, is there a way to reset the Mackie 1640i, kinda like clearing the cache?

Any thoughts?

thx!

Not sure how that relates to the problem that was originally reported in this thread, which has actually been fixed in 10.0.1 (hence my comment about updating to that version).
