triplets
Be careful with those low frequencies. Use a Multipressor on the stereo output to compress the frequencies around 100Hz, especially around 60Hz and lower. Once you have that controlled you can then put an Adaptive Limiter after the Multipressor to make the song louder. Also make sure you have your I/O buffer settings higher for mixing (around 512 or 1024) because there's crackles going on, which means a low buffer. noahkenny
thanks for the advice! and i thought that (I/O buffer) had something to do with latency??
triplets
It has to do with latency: When you want to record, it's better to have a low setting on the buffer like 128 or 64 or even 32 if the computer can handle it. That way you don't have a delay when performing in real time, ergo low latency. For mixing though, low buffers give the CPU more work and you might hear crackles and pops, so you raise the buffer setting.
noahkenny
oh k so when i record i usually click the low latency mode and set it to 1 second so after im done i should turn that off?
triplets
What are you setting to 1 second? Low Latency just bypasses plugins. Can you clarify?
redlogic
What are you setting to 1 second?Low Latency just bypasses plugins. Can you clarify? Yeah? The Low Latency Limit slider only goes up to 30 ms. (In the lowly LP9 that is...not sure about the Dark Lord that is LPX)

noahkenny
yes that is what i am setting. is that bad? i just thought that would minimalize latency
triplets
yes that is what i am setting. is that bad? i just thought that would minimalize latency I personally never change that setting. I leave it default at 5ms. I change the Plugin Delay Compensation to Off when I want to achieve the lowest latency while recording.
Eric Cardenas
yes that is what i am setting. is that bad? i just thought that would minimalize latency Nothing bad about that and it will minimize plug-in latency to =<1 ms.
