dustinwo
Running Snow Leopard and Logic Pro X and I am having crashes (program just closes, no error message) when I go to move Midi notes in Piano Roll. Logic Pro 9 never did this. Anyone else having this problem and has a fix been thunk up? Thanks! Dustin
Daggilarr
I am getting this too, but with ML, I do believe that LPX is not supposed to be compatible with any OS pre ML
dustinwo
My apologies. I have Mountain Lion (updated from Snow Leopard).
dustinwo
I'm interested in 1) any word on how to stop this behavior and 2) how I might report it so the developers can know it's happening.
dustinwo
And it's not actually limited to trying to move a note in Piano Roll. About every tenth time I go to just select a note, the program freezes for 3 seconds and then goes blip.
Daggilarr
I discovered one cause, as I was using the midi effect Chord Trigger I had some notes that did not fit with the selected chord structure so they would not play. I clicked on these notes and this would cause a crash. I am not sure that this is the only thing that has caused them but it would appear to one. So if you your editing is in conflict with an added midi effect it may cause a crash. I am going to post this as a glitch
dustinwo
Ya, I'm not using Chord Trigger.
Mcdeadcat
LPX Midi Crashes I pulled one midi region over another (combining two piano tracks) and it just crashes, and I reopen and it crashes, and I reopen and try to undo it and it crashes, so I reopen try something else and it crashes. This 'opus' was only two piano tracks, less than a minute long. They were NI's Kontakt 5 (latest version) two different piano sounds when on two tracks. I run ML 10.8.4, 8GB RAM, on an iMac 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5. This didn't happen with LP9. Huge disappointment if LPX is going to fall repeatedly at the first tiny hurdle, I could not risk a serious project on it currently. I thought the price was cheap!!
