Chris D
I make a living with Logic 9, do any of you boys and girls dare use X yet? I know I will wait for an update or two...
involver
Yes. It's working fine for my needs.

holywilly
not until they Logic team brings back the "add midi channel" function back, otherwise I'm sticking with Logic Pro 9 for now
fisherking
have been playing with it all week, but start a mix tomorrow...and am excited about that. LX is pretty great; imperfect, & great...
Chris Rickwood
Depends. I was already only using 64-bit plugs and on Mountain Lion so it was low risk to buy. I keep LP9 around just in case. I also happened to be at a good place in all my projects where it wouldn't matter if things went too wrong. But I've already delivered some music and sound to clients without a hitch so far. The missing "add next MIDI channel" was a pretty massive blow but I've gotten over it and the addition of MIDI FX outweighs that missing feature. You can still use multitimbral instruments, it's just not a super quick as it used to be.

fisherking
No corruption of project files or vanishing audio? not here (altho i did have to point a couple of files to their sources). all my L9 files open, then need to be saved as LX files...and all is well... mysticfm
I'm not ready to try the new release in production just yet. Fortunately I have a second DAW-capable computer now (received it just last week) in which to experiment with LPX until I'm comfortable enough to put it on the main system in the studio. skylark
So far, I've begun working with LPX on two projects that started with LP9 and, to my own amazement, I've had zero snags at all. LPX has unflinchingly accepted everything, 3rd party plug-ins 'n' all. Not even one crash! (My Apogee Control Panel is grayed out and inaccessible but I suspect that may be by design. Maybe Apogee is working on an update? In any case, It just means I hafta reach for a knob instead of controlling it remotely.)
gdoubleyou
I'm going to do a few test songs, to get comfortable with the new layout and features, at this point it's pretty much trouble free. I went 64bit earlier this year when I picked up an Apollo Duo, allowed me to retire Elemental Audio suite of plugs. 8)
