Revs
I’m wondering, is the whole time warping thing still so bad and clunky as in Logic 9, or has it now reached the level of Ableton Live? Is it better than in Live? Have any changes been done to this at all? Thanks
razzzzz
Revs, I started a thread on this topic some days back. Here's the link: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=97231&p=509620#p509620 According to the response I got from Teedoff in that thread, it seems there is no improvement in LPX, but I haven't done any Time/Pitch machine tests myself. I did, however, do some quick tests which compare LPX flex-time (polyphonic), LP9 (polyphonic), and Ableton 8 (Warp:Complex) side to side. From what I can hear, LPX is exactly the same as LP9, and Ableton is still way better than LPX. For drums/rhythmic content, logic MIGHT be better, but it's polyphonic mode is way behind. Revs
Thanks razzzzz! (not sure about the amount of z’s in there might have misspelled your name ) It’s a shame to hear, it was definitely one thing I was looking forward to, but I guess I’ll have to keep using Ableton for some stuff. I don’t think there’s going to be an update for this, I mean it’s a pretty complex thing and if it would come one day then right away when Logic X was released. We most likely won’t see another Logic before 2017 anyway… so let’s hope it will be available for Logic 11!
razzzzz
You never know, Revs... you never know. One of the first updates to LP9 was 64bit support... you never can tell what those crazy kids at apple are up to...
