Galacticus
is anyone aware of any software that could possibly remove a squeak in a high hat pedal from an overhead track? is this remotely possible?
shivermetimbers
Have you tried to isolate the sound, copy it and reverse its phase? It's a long shot, but worth a try.
Galacticus
The sound could never be found in isolation, so no shot there. But what I did do was get Sony Spectralayers. Its been extremely labor instensive, but I've been able to flawlessly zap out every offending hi hat squeak. Really, really incredible song saving software. It showed up as a 'blob' in my spectral graph, then you highlight it, and it extracts the noise to another layer, then flips the phase to cancel it out. Incredibly, there are really no audible artifacts. thanks anyway ya'll.
