ok guys any idea why this might be taking place, could it be the external hard drive i have the file on is about to fail?

What are you trying to do when you get that error? Sounds like maybe Logic is trying to load an audio file but cannot find one of the folders specified in the path listed in the Logic project.

 

Does the alert mention which directory is not found?
