whateverman
I just got Logic Pro X, and after importing an audio file, i opened the audio editor. In previous versions of logic, there was a Functions button where you could do all sorts of things like reverse the waveform, fade in/out etc. I cant seem to find this in X. In fact, i cant seem to find much of anything in the audio editor besides that dumb flex thing. Am i missing something obvious?
ikeithb
Are on Logic X 10.0.1?
ikeithb
You'll only have to do this once. Turn on the option in preference/general/advanced/audio. After that you'll have an option above your track editor for track or file. Click file and your functions button will be available. That's where the backwards cymbals are. teedoff087
The Track Editor is a non-destructive version of the Audio File Editor, which is what you're looking for. They renamed the Sample Editor in Logic X to the Audio File Editor. See below.
whateverman
Okay found it! It seems stupid to me that they would hide all those kinds of "advanced" features under preferences when alot of producers would feel kind of hung out to dry without them... When you installed Logic it asked if you were familiar with Logic from previous versions. If you say yes it enables all the advanced stuff.
