truc606
Is there a way I can route the output of audio track 1 to record realtime on audio output 2. Say for instance im playing a track thats coming out on output 1 and 2 how can i route logic to record that with any realtime effects ?
shivermetimbers
Are the Realtime Effects External to Logic? (Outboard gear)
truc606
No they are effects in logic that i want to use in realtime
gertvanhoof
Route Audio 1 to a Bus and use that Bus as the input for Audio 2. [edit: you'll have to sidechain the Bus into Audio 2, as described in your "Real Realtime Recording" thread.] Best regards, Gert

gertvanhoof
This will be interesting...How do you do that? Using the sidechain method you quoted in the other thread or via any hardware interface. Best regards, Gert

You have the effects in Logic and you can insert them directly into the channel you are using. The effects can be used realtime. The confusing part here is what are you doing with these effects in realtime that you cannot automate? Are you trying to save a step of bouncing without bouncing? I am simply curious...no big deal. truc606
I understand the confussion... with the vocoder you can play different notes to change the effects. however the plug in itself is realtime so unless you are going to sing and record the vocoder at the same time you have to do it like i am with pre recorded vocals. Using your advice i now set up the keychain on the noise gate and created the audio object and now i can record my changes direct into logic in realtime without having to bnce say 1 take at g then another take as g and c etc I just do it all in one go.
