audio suite style plugins for logic like in PT? Possible?

Hey, sort of a dumb question, but is it possible in Logic (pro 7.2.3) to process audio files in an "audiosuite" fashion, like in protools?

for instance, I want to edit a singular tom hit to make it sound more like a sample, so instead of putting it on a track, and inserting all the plugins and then bouncing it, can you just process the individual audio files?

Closest thing to audiosuite are the effects available within the sample editor (double click your audio region).
